I must confess, I am capable of experiencing myriad emotions simultaneously. I can be wholly tormented and blissful in the same breath. Life's uncertainties consume me, yet the specter of death does not trouble my mind. Such a paradox is possible if one's spirit is strong and resolute. It is the mark of a robust soul. For someone as cynical as the King of Siam, someone akin to myself, this duality is but a natural state.
